Ludwigfshafen, Germany -- With immediate effect or as existing contracts permit, BASF is increasing its European sales prices for ethylamines and methylamines as follows:
Monoethylamine (MEA 70%)+70 Euro/t
Diethylamine (DEA)+120 Euro/t
Triethylamine (TEA)+130 Euro/t
Monomethylamine (MMA) +40 Euro/t
Dimethylamine (DMA)+60 Euro/t
Trimethylamine (TMA)+70 Euro/t
BASF says ethylamines are the starting materials for the production of various intermediates that are used, for example, in the agrochemical, pharmaceutical, rubber and coatings industries.
Methylamines are versatile chemical intermediates with a wide range of applications, such as agrochemicals, water treatment and personal care. They also prove valuable in the production of feed additives and organic solvents.
BASF produces these amines at its sites in Ludwigshafen (Germany), Antwerp (Belgium), Geismar (Louisiana, USA), Nanjing (China).
