Ludwigshafen, Germany -- BASF SE said 16 July that it is raising its prices for isophorone diamine (IPDA) in Europe by Euro 200 per tonne, or by the corresponding amount in local currency. The increase will take effect immediately, or as existing contracts permit.
The speciality amine IPDA is used as an isocyanate crosslinking agent for the production of polyurethane and as a curing agent for epoxy resins.
BASF manufactures IPDA at its Ludwigshafen site and says it is "a leading supplier of this product."
