Antwerp, Belgium-In order to meet the increased costs of the raw materials as well as well as energy and logistics costs BASF is making its ethyleneamines dearer.
The products affected are: ethylenediamine; diethylenetriamine; aminoethylethanoleamine; piperazine chips; and piperazine solution. They are intermediates used in the manufacture of agrochemicals, lubricants, surfactants for detergents, cleaning products and pharmaceutical active ingredients.
This increases affects worldwide supply and is effective immediately, or as existing contracts permit.
BASF said the price rise increase amounts to 100 Euros, resp. 130 US$ per ton. It produces ethyleneamines at its site in Antwerp."
