These rises apply to Europe, the firm said, adding that they are necessary as a result of further increased energy and logistic costs. Polyalcohols are widely used in solvent-free or high-solid coatings, and also in polyurethanes, as well as alkyd resins, plastisers, artificial leather, cosmetics, or synthetic lubricants. "
