Ludwigshafen, Germany - BASF SE announced 2 June that it will increase its European selling prices for the following products:
1,4 Butanediol (BDO) +250 Euro/tonne
Tetrahydrofuran (THF) +250 Euro/tonne
Polytetramethylene ether glycol (PolyTHF) +330 Euro/tonne
N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NMP) +250 Euro/tonne
Gamma Butyrolactone (GBL) +250 Euro/tonne
BASF said this price increase, which takes effect immediately, or as contracts allow, "ensures that BASF can continue to offer quality products and services to its customers."
BDO and its derivatives are used for producing engineering plastics, polyurethanes, solvents and elastic spandex fibres.
