Freudenberg, Germany - At the forthcoming UTECH Europe 2009 event, German cutting systems developer Albrecht Baumer GmbH & Co. KG will display its Baumer Redline, a new foam-cutting machine with good economics, the company says.
The Redline, which Baumer launched at UTECH ASIA 2008 in Shanghai, China, last August, is a highly engineered quality product using branded components, giving a long service life, said Baumer. But it also offers an, "excellent price-performance ratio," with the price advantage coming from series production, said the company. It is also available in a standard configuration, meeting the traditional demands of foam fabricators.
Baumer said "We have to remain competitive in the tight market of PU-processing -- which gets harder and harder. It becomes more and more important to optimise work-flows for higher efficiency and reduce time and cost while still remaining flexible."
On stand no 1150 at Utech Europe 2009, the Baumer sales team will help find individual solutions for every customer, the company said. This can range from a single standard machine with compatible cutting tool to a whole plant, depending on the customer's demands. "Development, construction, manufacture and service - you get it all from one single source - Baumer. This will allow you to remain flexible," the Freudenberg-based supplier said.
Baumer will also focus at the Maastricht show, which takes place 31 Mar - 2 April, on its POS (Production Order System) software for fully automatic job processing of complete plants.
The company's product range covers cutting, converting and transport of foams and similar materials. At the Maastricht Exhibition and Congress Centre, Baumer will also highlight splitting machine models used in the packaging and medical fields and for production and processing of automobile parts.
Baumer's Elisabeth Steuber will present a paper on Thursday 2 April at the UTECH conference, entitled: Comprehensive production management: from long block to finished product.
• Apologies to Albrecht Baumer: they were inadvertently omitted from our preview of the UTECH Europe 2009 show, which appeared in the February/March issue of Urethanes Technology International. (See www.utecheurope/nl for more information on the event).
