By David Reed, UT EditorDroitwich, UK-Baxenden Chemicals Ltd, a speciality chemicals maker, plans to commission a further plant for making polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) at its Droitwich site early next year. No details of the plans were released, but Baxenden said the expansion is designed to meet increasing market demands for water-based products with high solids content to meet new environmental and technical performance requirements.Applications for the materials, sold under the Witcobond tradename, include coatings, paints, lacquers and adhesives."
