Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania -- Bayer MaterialScience llc has launched its EcoCommercial Building Program in the NAFTA (North American Free Trade Association) region. According to BMS, the programme focuses on offering materials and fostering collaboration among industry, academics and government to provide holistic solutions to building decision makers.
"We're building a collaborative network that brings together innovative products and services to make sustainable, environmentally friendly and profitable building solutions possible," said Paul Platte, head, EcoCommercial Building Program, NAFTA, BMS, in a company statement.
According to Platte, Bayer MaterialScience, a member of the US Green Building Council and Pittsburgh Green Building Alliance, is currently seeking member organisations that can provide products and/or services for the programme's seven areas that help to increase sustainability and reduce energy costs:
•Indoor environment quality
•Heating, ventilation and air conditioning
The EcoCommercial Building network will be able to collaboratively look at energy savings, environmentally friendly materials, emission-reducing materials, efficiency in application, ecology and economics - the aspects that BMS considers to be the 'Six Es' of sustainable building solutions.
