Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania -- Bayer MaterialScience has announced two unspecified increases in capacity for polyether polyols in Channelview, Texas and at its South Charleston, West Virginia locations.
The company declined to specify the size of the increases, but said that the increase at Channelview would "effectively double original start-up capacity. The company added that the increased capacity should be available in 2015.
In South Charleston, the BMS said "increased capacity is now coming on-stream, full capacity is expected in 2014."
BMS said it will use its proprietary double metal catalyst technology in Channelview.
