Leverkusen, Germany -- Bayer MaterialScience AG will raise its prices for thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) resins in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region by €0.30 per kilogram ($0.40 per kilogram) from 1 June 2007.A statement from Bayer said the price increase is due to the fact that measures it has taken to improve efficiency have not been able to compensate for the effects of increases in the costs of raw materials and energy. ss"
