Sydney, Australia - Bayer Australia Ltd celebrated the organisation's 150th anniversary by taking to the skies with a giant airship made using some of the company's technologies, including coatings based on Bayer's polyurethane raw materials.
The airship was built especially for an anniversary world tour, which will take in 10 international cities including New York, Rome and Tokyo, following its launch in Sydney, Australia. The gondola is made of polycarbonate, while the airship's propeller is protected with polyurethane-based coatings made using Bayhydrol, Bayhydur and Desmodur.
