The site can produce up to 25kT/year of polyurethane systems for markets in the Turkish, Eastern Europe and CIS regions, the company said.
'BCI’s investment in the Mersin plant will complement its manufacturing facilities in Italy, UAE and Egypt. This represents a turning point in the company’s regional growth strategy,' said Hassan Baalbaki, executive chairman at BCI Holding.
He added that the site at the eastern side of Turkey's Mediterranean coast makes it a 'production leader among independent system houses in the EMEA region'.
