Toronto, Ontario – Canadian online mattress brand Endy is to be acquired by Sleep Country Canada for up to CDN 89m. Of this, CDN63.7 m will be paid up front, with the remainder due in early 2021 if growth and profitability targets are hit in 2020.
Bed-in-a-box maker Endy acquired by Sleep Country Canada
Bed-in-a-box specialist Endy was set up in 2015. Sleep Country, meanwhile, has a network of 264 stores and 16 distribution centres across Canada. The two businesses will operate separately.
‘This acquisition will allow Endy to continue to grow rapidly and exceed customer expectations in a rapidly evolving retail climate, while remaining separate,’ said Rajen Ruparell, Endy’s chairman and co-founder.
