Las Vegas, United States -- The Specialty Sleep Association (SSA) is set to address the issues around the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) ‘Green Guides’ for manufacturers and retailers of furniture and bedding.
A presentation entitled ‘Don’t Pad Your Green Claims’ is scheduled to take place on 27 January at The World Market Center in Las Vegas.
Speaker James Kohn, associate director for the enforcement division at the FTC, will outline how to ensure compliance with regulations when making ecological and safety claims about products.
The move follows the FTC’s action again three mattress/bedding/furniture manufacturers in July 2013 for claiming the products were free from volatile organic compounds without the necessary scientific evidence to back up the claim. More at: www.sleepinformation.org
