Kluisbergen, Belgium - Polyurethane boot maker Bekina Boots NV is investing in a 720-sq.m office building at Kluisbergen, Belgium. The boot specialist says the offices incorporate advanced technologies for employee comfort.
Bekina, part of the Vanderbeke group, said new offices became essential due to the strong growth in recent years and a subsequent increase in the number of employees.
"With its contemporary architecture, attention to light and space and its transparent transition to the existing production halls, these offices will be the pinnacle of 50 years of industrial activity in Kluisbergen," the company said.
Family owned Bekina makes lightweight PU boots -- much lighter than rubber or PVC boots, the company said. They are offered also as insulated types, for use at down to -20°C or even -40°C. It claims its professional boots last up to 3 times longer than PVC boots.
Bekina supplies PU boots to the farming sector, the food processing industry and for general industrial and leisure uses.
