Maryland, US – Two Beypur polyurethane binders from Beynon Sports have been granted certified biobased product labels by the US Department of Agriculture, and can now carry USDA labels declaring their biobased content. The company specialises in the manufacture of sporting surfaces, particularly athletics tracks.
Both one-component moisture curing aromatic PU binders have a 24% biobased content. Beypur 320-Bio is an aromatic binder whose applications include bonding together different materials, including rubber, foam, cork, EVA, gravel and wood mulch. The second product, Beypur 340-Bio, is an aliphatic binder with enhanced UV stability, as well as good flexibility hydrolytic stability and adhesive properties when binding a variety of materials.
“This label not only demonstrates our commitment to sustainability but also provides customers with a verified indicator of the renewable, biobased materials in our products,” said Mike Gasparovic, the company’s VP for plant operations and R&D. “This certification empowers decision-makers with the information needed to make choices that support a healthier planet without compromising performance.”
