Malmo, Sweden — Perstorp’s caprolactone range of biodegradable polyols will be the company's focus at the forthcoming UTECH North America conference and exhibition.
Following the doubling of its Capa monomers production capacity, the thermoplastic technology firm will have experts on hand to explain its benefit to a variety of applications.
As reported at Utech-polyurethane.com previously, the company has been investing heavily in its biodegradable product range. One of the company's latest investment announcements centred on its plans for a North America-based pilot plant from which customers will be able to source samples of between 200 and 800kg.
Perstop’s polycaprolactones are polyester polyols that are typically used as the soft-segment component in a range of high-performance polyurethane CASE applications, including PU dispersions for wood and leather coatings, cast elastomers and thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs), amongst others.
Furthermore, the company said, it has recently formed a specialty products sales division to provide a rapid response to customer product development projects in the polyurethane market.
