Fayetteville, Arkansas -- BioBased Technologies has appointed Amy Sorrell as its new chief executive officer and Robert Porter as its new chief operating officer, a 2 April company statement said.
The US-based company, which manufactures Agrol -- a line of bio-based polyols for spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation, completed a financial reorganisation in the first quarter of 2010 that merged three of its operating companies under the BioBased Technologies umbrella, paid off all vendor and bank debts and streamlined business processes.
"Times of economic downturn are often opportunities for companies to regroup, refocus and come out stronger, and that's what we have done," Sorrel said in the statement.
"We've had great success in building our Insulation Division and growing that core business," said Porter. "We're now working to put similar systems in place and to position our Polyol Division for that same level of success in the market," he added. (RD)
