Lestrum, France – Biosuccinic acid from Roquette has been certified, and can carry the USDA Biopreferred program and certified Biobased Product labels.
The label expresses the amount of biobased content as the ratio of non-fossil to fossil fuel sourced carbon in the product as a percentage, Roquette said.
The former Roquette–DSM joint venture Reverdia has been promoting biosuccinic acid as a polyurethane raw material for a number of years. Roquette bought out its joint venture partner in 2019.
