Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Bayer MaterialScience has completed the purchase of about 44 500-sq.m of land located adjacent to its South Deerfield, Massachusetts, site.
The company said this investment in additional land demonstrates its commitment to its Functional Films NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) business and allows further expansion of the site.
The South Deerfield facility makes and sells film and sheet made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), polycarbonate and polycarbonate blend, as well as other speciality materials, for use in markets such as medical and automotive.
