Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Bayer MaterialScience LLC has declared a force majeure on its Mondur TD-80 and speciality TDI (toluene diisocyanate) products in North America, effective 15 Feb 2013.
A BMS spokesperson told UTI that supply was "impaired due to equipment failure in one of two TDI units at the company's Baytown, Texas, manufacturing facility."
The company did not say when the expected the force majeure to be lifted.
