Hermes, France – Elastomer specialist Borflex has acquired Bobet Group. This expands its portfolio into elastomer-coated fabrics.
Bobet designs and produces fabrics coated with both synthetic and natural elastomers, more than half of which are destined for export. Its production facilities are in Grand-Quevilly, near Rouen.
Borflex specialises in the production of elastomer parts from various different materials, including polyurethane and TPEs, as well as pultruded composite profiles and moulded composite parts. It said the acquisition confirms its determination to grow and diversify, both in France and abroad.
The two companies already have customer sectors in common. These include aerospace, where Borflex supplies rollers and Bobet protective covers.
