Kazinbarcika, Hungary -- BorsodChem said 25 March that it will be increasing its prices for toluene diisocyanate (TDI) in Europe by Euro 100 per tonne, and for export by $200 per tonne, with effect from 1 April 2011.
According to the Hungarian isocyanates producer, now majority owned by the Chinese company Wanhua Industrial Group, the price rises, "are needed to respond to the significant rise in raw materials and energy costs. Further upwards adjustments can be expected given the upstream costs evolution."
