Muelheim, Germany - Brenntag, a major chemical distribution company, has reported strong financial results for 2008, including an increase in external sales of 10 percent, compared to 2007, to Euro 7400 million ($9900 million), the company said recently.
In 2008 the company made ten acquisitions, including Inquimex S.A.C.I., Argentina, a leading company in the distribution of polyurethanes and industrial chemicals in Argentina, as well as Rhodia's chemical distribution operations in Australia, India, Taiwan and the ASEAN (Association of South-East Asian Nations) countries of Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, Brenntag said.
The company estimates a capital expenditure of Euro 80 million for 2008.
