Minneapolis, Minnesota - The Bryan Cervical Disc, a polyurethane and titanium implant from Medtronic Sofamor Danek, has been approved by the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration), the company said recently.
When a patient's diseased cervical disc is removed, the Bryan Cervical Disc, consisting of two main metal pieces separated by a polyurethane part, is placed in milled pockets in the adjacent vertebral bodies. (RD)
