Leverkusen, Germany -- ProteXXion Tracking -- a new solution for the tracking of unmarked parts in, amongst others, automotive production and maintenance processes -- will be showcased by Bayer Technology Services GmbH (BTS) at the Hannover Fair in Germany from 19-23 Apr 2010.
In addition to ProteXXion Sensor ST10, the new ProteXXion ST20 system was specifically designed for shiny surfaces such as metal components and has been successfully used in pilot projects for the automotive industry, a 23 March BTS statement said.
"The accurate recognition of metal components at any point of the production and value-creation chain involves sensors, software, database hosting and a full range of services from consulting through project management to system maintenance," the statement added.
Bayer subsidiary BTS, based in Leverkusen, Germany, offers integrated solutions along the life cycle of chemical and pharmaceutical plants. The company employs around 2600 people and recorded sales of around Euro 380 million ($514 million) in 2009. (RD)
