Memphis, Tennessee-- Buckman has launched Flamebloc GS 602, which adds to its range of bromine-free flame retardants. The Memphis, Tennessee-based supplier said the Flamebloc GS series has products suitable for a wide range of uses, including plastics, coatings, foam, fabric, and wood.
The GS 602 is a powdered product specifically designed to impart char formation in applications where powdered products are desirable.
July also marks Buckman's one-year anniversary of the rollout of the Flamebloc GS series. "We are very pleased with the interest generated by the Flamebloc GS line in this first year," said Charles Carncross, vice president Performance Chemicals with Buckman, in a company statement.
"With the current regulatory pressure on decabrome and the pricing pressure on antimony, many industries are looking for bromine and antimony-free flame-retardant solutions. We are working closely with affected companies to design customised packages to address their specific needs."
