Cartersville, Georgia -- Burtin Polymer Laboratories (BPL) is to be the primary sponsor of the No. 82 Dodge Challenger R/T race car in the Nascar Nationwide Series, for driver Reed Sorenson and MacDonald Motorsports, for the remaining three races of the 2011 season.
Sorenson presently sits fifth out of about 138 drivers who participate in the series and is one of only 15 drivers who have competed in all of the previous 31 races for the 2011 season.
"I'm excited to be in this prime position this late in the season and it should be an exciting stretch to the end. I know I've got a great team backing me up and tremendous sponsorship support moving forward now," remarked Sorenson.
"It's our dream to be able to participate and feature our growing product brands, Bullet Liner and Foametix, as a part of the NASCAR Nationwide Series," said Henry 'Scooter' Delaune, president of Burtin Polymer Labs.
Burtin Polymer Laboratories (BPL) commercialises polyurethane systems produced for commercial roofing, commercial and residential insulation, flotation, adhesives, packaging, spray elastomers and custom moulding products. Its recently launched Bullet Liner products are primarily used for pickup truck beds, tailgates, wheel wells and other similar vehicle-protection applications.
Another BPL product is Foametix Spray Foam Insulation, a series of light density, polyurethane spray-applied foam insulation systems designed for residential and commercial/industrial building uses.
BPL also develops blast-mitigation products which have been tested and approved by the US Military and used by the US government in the refurbishment of the Pentagon after the 9/11 attacks.
