Calcutta, India -- A fire broke out at a cotton and foam factory in Calcutta, India, causing extensive damage and loss of property, according to a report by Asian News International.
The South Asian news organisation said a stack of elastic caught fire late at night on 19 Feb. The fire then spread to other floors of the seven-storey building, due to the presence of flammable materials.
The agency added that the fire was now under control and that no casualties had been reported.
