Cangzhou, China – TDI (toluene diisocyanate) and fertilizer producer Cangzhou Dahua announced on 10 December 2013 its newly built 160,000 tonne/year caustic soda plant has had a successful trial run.
The new plant in Cangzhou, Hebei province, where Dahua is based, will provide chlorine feedstock for the company’s 150,000 tonne/year TDI facility to ensure raw material security and expand its industrial chain.
Shanghai-listed Dahua said it is China’s largest-capacity TDI producer and has over 3,000 employees. In 2012 it delivered a 311% jump in net profit to RMB 288 million ($47 million) on a 30% rise in revenue to RMB 3.4 billion, of which 64% comes from TDI.
