Milan, Italy – Cannon opened a new 500 m2 laboratory at its Afros division in late 2018.
Polyurethane, epoxy and reactive formulation research are the focus of the new building. Industrial trials for customers and raw materials suppliers will also be important uses for the space. The new lab features a column-free design with the 10m high roof. The company said that this will enable the installation of tall processing equipment.
In addition to a new lab, the extension has 150m2 dedicated as a showroom, and meeting room for technical training.
The site is located at the company's site in the village of Caronno Pertusella, about 20 km northwest of Milan. The company employs about 350 people locally.
