Virginia, US – Casper Sleep is to become a subsidiary of Carpenter. The vertically integrated PU foam specialist said it will assist Casper on a comprehensive growth and profitability strategy, as well as appropriate future channels to market. No further details are currently available.
Casper is one of the most recognisable US brand names in the growing bed-in-a-box sector. The start-up was acquired by private equity firm Durational Capital Management in 2021, a couple of years after it had gone public. It had a change of CEO earlier this year, with the appointment of Joe Megibow, a former CEO of mattress maker Purple.
