Weinheim, Germany – Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) has a new senior management team, after the appointment of a new CEO and CTO. The changes took place at the start of the year.
Matthias Sckuhr, formerly the company’s CTO and COO, has been made CEO. He succeeds Claus Möhlenkamp, who has moved to a role as deputy CEO of Freudenberg Group.
Sckuhr has been with the Freudenberg Group since 1997, first at Freudenberg Research Services, then Vibracoustic and Nedschroef, and was made FST’s COO in 2021. The company said that, during this time, he has made a “significant contribution” to the development and implementation of sustainable processes and technologies at the company.
Taking on the CTO role is Gary VanWambeke, who is moving up from his previous job as SVP of the company’s dynamic sealings division. He has also been with Freudenberg since 1997. In his new role, he will be responsible for advancing technological developments at the company.
Sckuhr and VanWambeke are joined on the FST management team by CFO Kerstin Borrs. She has been in this role since January 2024, having joined the company in 2018 after a quarter of a century working for companies within the consumer goods sector.
“With these changes to the management team, we are ideally positioned to achieve our strategic goals, strengthen our innovative power and achieve sustainable growth even in a difficult economic environment,” Sckuhr said.
