Johannesburg -- CHC Elastogran, a South Africa-based producer and distributor of polyurethane (PU) products and systems, has changed its name to Elastogran South Africa.
According to CHC's 24 Oct statement, the name change is seen as the next step for the company, which was formed in 2005 by a joint venture between the CHC group and the Elastogran group. It will help to underline "Elastogran's confidence in the South African market," said CHC's managing director Andrew Bailey, in the statement.
Elastogran, which is part of the BASF group, has more than 40 years' experience in the industry, something that CHC sees as an advantage. "Our association with Elastogran gives us the ability to leverage superior technology opportunities that will benefit our local customers," said Bailey.
The CHC Group shareholding will remain the same, "as CHC is a very strong partner in our business," Bailey said.
Elastogran South Africa has also restructured its information technology department to ensure constant improvement of flow and speed of information, saving money and improving business practices.
"The benefits to local customers are tangible. By upgrading our internal operations and infrastructure, we are able to help our customers be more successful," said Bailey, in the statement. ss
