Kennesaw, Georgia – Chemique Adhesives has developed a new single-component, fast-curing polyurethane sealing and bonding compound.
The company says its applications include construction, transport, modular construction, and other fields where movement and vibration are a concern.
Bondseal 1128 is a high modulus PU sealant. Chemique says it offers improved flow and has lower isocyanate content compared to its older products.
It claims that this combination of properties makes application easier, and gives good slump resistance and increases safety. It can be applied using a standard cartridge caulking gun.
A marine-grade formulation is also available. This gives better performance below the waterline, and in scenarios where resistance to salt and brackish water are a concern.
Both are available in white, grey and black, and supplied in standard 300ml cartridges.
