St Louis, Missouri – Coatings and resins company Chemline has purchased cold-cast polyurethane chemicals firm T A Davies Company (Tadco).
California-based-Tadco focuses on polyurethane technologies for bowling ball cover stocks, architectural trim mouldings and fashion mannequins.
The acquisition of TADCO provides Chemline with a growth platform for expansion into the West Coast region, as well as introducing new formulation technology, said the firm.
It has been a busy year at Chemline. According to the company's website it has added 50,000 sq ft (4645m²) of manufacturing space to the existing 100,000 sq ft footprint.
The company has also installed five new isocyanate prepolymer reactors and six new B-side blenders. Bulk storage capacity was increased by 40% as well, the firm said.
An additional four acres (1.6 ha) of adjacent property has been purchased, the firm added. It continues that the land could be used for further expansion.
