Middlebury, Connecticut - Chemtura Corp. is to raise prices in North America and Latin America on all Adiprene and Vibrathane polyurethane prepolymers and Vibracure curatives, by up to 15 percent, depending on product family.
The increases take effect 1 Aug 2008, or as contracts allow,
Chemtura said this additional price increase "is necessary to offset the continuing unprecedented escalation of raw materials, packaging and energy costs."
At the same time as instituting this latest rise, Chemtura said it will also make all prepaid shipments to North and Latin American customers on a prepaid-and-add basis. The group said this move will provide customers with direct visibility for freight expenses, and enable them to optimise purchase quantities to reduce freight costs.
