Middlebury, Connecticut - Chemtura Corp. is raising prices for its Adiprene, Vibrathane, Caytur and Vibracure products to cover escalating expenses. But the Middlebury-headquartered group said it has also instituted a new policy to help customers reduce costs.
"Currently the chemical industry is operating in an environment of volatile raw materials and escalating energy, freight and warehousing costs," Chemtura said, stressing that the company must pass along a portion of these costs as a price increase."
However, in order to mitigate the impact of ever increasing costs, Chemtura has identified specific opportunities to reduce or eliminate costs and to simplify the way we do business. Hence, from 4 Jan 2008, Chemtura will be instituting the following business policies.
