Beijing – China exported 350kT footwear and components in November 2019, up by 2.1% compared with November 2018.
The value of exports in November reached $3.8bn, representing a 7.8% rise year on year, according to China’s General Administration of Customs.
In the first 11 months of 2019 a total export volume of 4.1MT wasdown by 0.1% from the same period in 2018. Total value climbed 0.9% to $42.9bn.
November exports included 733m pair of shoes, up by 3.3% from October 2018. The value of shoe exports jumped 7.2% to $3.6bn.
Eleven-month exports of shoes arrived at 8.6bn pairs, showing a 0.5% drop from the same period in 2018. The total value of these exports reached $40.5bn, up by 0.4% from a year ago.
Exports of shoes with both soles and uppers made with rubber or plastic were upbeat in November. Exports of shoes with rubber or plastic soles and fabric uppers had a fall in volume, but value grew.
