Compared with soccer balls made with leather, those made with PU leather are faster, more elastic and have more accurate trajectory, says the website.
Anli is based in the Taohua Industrial Park in Hefei, Anhui province, with 2,100 employees and plants taking up 300,000 m². The company is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and in 2013 its net profit soared 51% to RMB74m ($12m) on a 6% rise in annual revenue to RMB1.2bn.
Anli currently has a 65m metre/year capacity for artificial leather and a 55kT/year capacity for PU resins, and last year sold 52m metre PU leather, up 7% from 2012. The company also has 22m metre/year PU leather facilities in the pipeline scheduled to go into operation in the third quarter of 2014.
