Shanghai, China – Hunan Jingzheng Equipment Manufacturing, a maker of PU machinery including foaming, casting, storage and pre-mixing equipment, has been actively developing its own technology since it started as a small workshop in 1993.
The company told UTECH-polyurethane.com in an exclusive interview at the PU China exhibition held 3-5 September 2014 in Shanghai.
Today, Jingzheng has 140 patents and around 50 more in the application process. “We never licensed technology from other companies but we’ve had great teachers,” said Yan Jian, general manager of Jingzheng.
“A lot of major western players would come to China, the world’s largest market, to showcase its cutting-edge machinery,” said Yan, “And we would go to such shows to learn from them.”
The company provides customised machinery to a broad clientele in the appliances, automotive and housing sectors. “Any big company you can name in those areas is a customer of ours,” Yan said.
Based in Xiangtan, Hunan province, Jinghua makes its machinery in a 25,000m2 factory there with 160 employees. In 2013 the company had RMB150m ($24m) revenue
The company’s business is doing especially well in Jiangsu and Shandong provinces, where its major clients are located, but Yan suggests Midwest China has great potential. “The Chinese government is making preferential policies for the area, and government policies have always had great influence on China’s industry,” he said.
