Inner Mongolia, China – China’s chemical firm Jiutai Group signed engineering design contract on September 5 for its EG facilities totaling 1.7 MT/year capacity.
According to the website of the designer Hualu Engineering & Technology, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Chemical Engineering, the contract involves three projects in two cities in Inner Mongolia.
A 1 M T/year project under Jiutai affiliate Inner Mongolia Jiutai New Materials will be housed in Togtoh Industrial Park in Hohhot.
The other two projects, one with 200kT/year capacity and one with 500kT/year capacity, are to be perused by another affiliate, Jiutai Energy (Erdos) and located in the city’s Dalu Industrial Park.
Jiutai Group was set up in 2002 in Linyi, Shandong province. The non-state company currently has 1.6 M T/year capacity for methanol and 1 MT/year capacity for dimethyl ether.
