Beijing – China exported mattresses and bedding products worth $841m in October 2019. The number is down by 1.3% from October 2018, bouncing back from a 9.7% year-on-year decrease in September.
In September 2019 China shipped $834m-worth of mattresses. This is down from August’s $848m, said China’s General Administration of Customs.
The total export value over the first ten months of 2019 reached $7.9bn, up by 1.5% compared with the same period in 2018.
According to China National Furniture Association, the nation produced $10bn-worth of mattresses in 2018. This number was up by 12.3% from a year ago. Mattress exports last year jumped 11% in value to $1.5bn.
