Beijing – China exported 777m pairs of shoes in November 2021, up 17% on November 2020, according to state figures. This compares to a 15% increase in October.
The value of these exports in November 2021 rose by 44% year on year to $4.7bn, according to China’s General Administration of Customs. The number was 36% in October and 30% in September.
In pre-Covid November 2019, the country exported 733m pairs of footwear, worth $2.5bn.
Exports for the first 11 months of 2021 totalled 7.9bn pairs, up 19% on the same period in 2020. The value of these exports increased by 36% year on year to $43bn.
From January to November 2019, the country exported 8.6bn pairs, worth $28bn.
