Beijing – China exported 3.9m refrigerators and freezers in November 2019. The number is down by 15.3% from November 2018.
The value of the exports was $560m, down by 14.7% compared with a year earlier, according to China’s General Administration of Customs. The value also showed a 9% dip from October 2019.
Exports over the first 11 months of 2019 totalled 51m units. This is up 4.9% compared with the same period in 2018. The total value of exports recorded less than half the growth rate, 1.7% year on year, at $7bn.
China’s refrigerator production in November 2019 reached 7.22m units. This is an increase of 7.7% from a year ago. Eleven-month production jumped 4% year on year to 76.6m units, said the National Bureau of Statistics.
The country’s freezer production continued its momentum. China made 1.78m freezers in November 2019, up 27.5% from a year ago. Eleven-month production stood at 17.6m, up 20% year on year.
