Senatobia, Mississippi - Residential and commercial furniture manufacturer Chromcraft, a subsidiary of Chromcraft Revington Inc., is incorporating renewable raw materials into polyurethane foam for its seat cushions, the company said 15 Oct.
Chromcraft has hired MCPU Polymer Engineering to "green up" seating foam at is Mississippi facility with soya-based Honey Bee polyol, the statement said.
The end product, Chromcraft said, is a "consistent soya-polyol that works well with urethane materials to produce high quality foams."
The improved seating will be available in the fourth quarter of 2009, the company added. (RD)
