Warsaw – Polish holding company Ciech is reorganising and putting its foam business, Pianki into a single business unit.
Currently, Pianki sits in the company's organic products segment. This contains reins and plant production products as well.
The Ciech said it is dividing its operations into a total of seven business units ranging from soda ash, through salt, resins and silicates to foams. The goal is to create 'an effective and diversified chemical holding generating long-term positive value for shareholders.' The company continues that it want to improve decision making and transparency of each part of its businesses.
The business units will be given goals from the holding company and will be responsible for meeting them.
Ciech said that this will be a complex process and would not be complete until the end of 2022.
