Warsaw, Poland - Ciech, a Polish toluene diisocyanate (TDI) producer said that it completed the sale of its TDI business to BASF on 28 February.
The company added in its fourth quarter 2012 results, that it expects the transaction to close later in the first quarter of 2013. The deal was announced on 15 October and includes all Ciech's TDI output apart from the firm's Zachem business which comprises a 75-kilotonnes-per-annum TDI plant at a chemicals complex in Bydgoszcz in central Poland.
