Muttenz, Switzerland -- Clariant International Ltd is turning its 91-acre (37-hectare) headquarters premises in Muttenz into an industrial park, focused on chemical and life-science research.
Renaud Spitz, manager of what will be called Infrapark Baselland Park,an independent business unit of Clariant, said in a statement: "A new era with significant opportunities will begin for the industrial site of Muttenz: an open industrial park, an appealing new home for interested companies, will be created on long-established traditional company grounds."
The park is situated on the borders with Germany and France and will open officially on 1 Jan.
As well as Clariant, PanGas, Bayer and Aprentas, the training association of the Basel chemical and pharmaceutical industry, are already operating on the site.
