By David Reed, UT EditorMilan, Italy-John Poulsen, co-founder and technical director of Nortec-Cannon, formerly known as Tectrade and acting as the Scandinavian offices of the Cannon Group, died 14 September in Denmark, at the age of 63, after a short hospitalisation for complications following surgery."John has been the technical soul of the polyurethane division of Nortec-Cannon for more than 35 years," said Max Taverna, Cannon Group's director - communications, in a 15 Sept statement. "Together with his associate and life-long friend Ole Jungshoved, John founded Tectrade back in 1969, becoming the first international agent of Cannon for the distribution of PU foaming equipment in the northern European countries," Taverna added. "A man of few words and many sound actions, John has substantially contributed to the development of the polyurethane technology in Scandinavia, installing - personally, and through a competent staff of technicians that he trained in all these years - hundreds of foaming machines and plants," the Cannon communications director said."Today, John's friends and colleagues within the Cannon Group grieve alongside his wife Helle and his two sons, as well as all his colleagues at Nortec-Cannon," Taverna continued. "We have lost a good man, a loyal friend, and a great specialist in the art of making foam. We'll miss him a lot," he concluded."
